Nicholas Hanna is an artist, designer and inventor who builds performative devices. His background is in architecture, with degrees from McGill University (Canada) and Yale University (USA). He also holds an MFA in Design Media Arts at UCLA (USA). In 2009, while working in Beijing, he shifted his attention from architecture to the creative use of technology. Nicholas works within a triangle of practice delineated by software code, hardware circuits and mechanical mechanism to make objects, devices and installations that explore the aesthetic and affective potential of technology. Nicholas is a Canadian artist residing in Los Angeles.
